Web3Comic: Building a Community-Driven Comic with a Twist

Welcome back to the Zealy blog! Join us as we speak with one of the Web3Comic founders about their strategy, favourite Quests, and rewards for their community!

Tell us about your Project

We are Web3Comic, focusing on community development rather than big publisher relationships. Our comic, in-habitants tells a meta-story about our own development process.

We intend to be an educational product in addition to entertainment but focused on adults.

Tell us about yourself as CM/Project Lead

I am one of the creators of the project, a Game Designer who is using gaming techniques to build an immersive comic with a Web3 mindset aiming to create a community and build something bigger.

I really believe in the values of Satoshi Nakamoto, and we choose to stay backstage, without a face, gender, colour, or religion.

The project comes first, and our ego is on the second layer.

Why do you like using Zealy?

Our product is very large and not common for Web3. The ecosystem is already very difficult to understand, so yeah, we have two levels of complexity and that's where Zealy comes in. This is a really cool platform for us, as it works as a learning stream for the most engaged users.

Zealy creates competition and favours the understanding of our ecosystem. It became a fun and important tool for us!

What’s your Quest strategy like - and your absolute favourite Quest?!

Our strategy is to give a paced access to a little of our content, to learn the dimension of our diegesis and get people involved with our storytelling.

Difficult to choose a favourite Quest, but a mere quiz about the character is cool, and the Quest to write about your experience with our work brought very nice answers too.

What Rewards do you currently offer your community?

We offer rewards in Stars, as we are on the Cosmos blockchain (Stargaze). We also have physical and digital books from our Web3Comic, and drops from our NFTs, among others.

Why is your community the best? 

Our community is involved in a great learning curve, and they have been participating and having fun during the process. We still have a lot to learn.

What trends are you seeing in web3? What are your predictions for what’s coming up next? 

I believe that validators will have a more relevant political role. The tools will be crucial, and everyone will use them.

Interchain will be much more important, and many different blockchains will have communities that match their values.

What other web3 projects are you also super excited about right now?

I am very fascinated by the Web3 world, I love Vitalik's broad and social vision with Ethereum, and I think that Polkadot is very avant-garde with the interchain issue, which in the case of Cosmos has done better in forming a more robust community in my view.

I imagine the future of NFTs and the communities created around the world with common goals, and I believe that they have become big businesses.

Anything else you’d like to tell the world?

I'm not a native English speaker, as you can see. And I'm happy to see Web3 as a borderless movement, crossing old borders (physical and cultural) and ignoring board owners. There's a new game emerging and the opportunity for many to play and change not only their lives but many other people's.

An opportunity to create a slightly different future that excites me a lot as a creator and my ambition is to create together with thousands of other people this new place, this universe of thousands of silent people under the internet.
