Quasar: Building a Decentralized Asset Management Platform for Financial Freedom

Welcome to the Zealy blog! Today we are discussing how Decentralized Finance (DeFi) platforms seek to lower the barriers to entry to financial markets and provide greater access to financial freedom.

In this interview, we'll hear from Micu, the Head of Marketing and Community at Quasar, who will drive us through the project's goals, its community-building efforts, and his vision for the future of DeFi and the Web3 ecosystem.

Tell us about your Project

Quasar was founded on the belief that all individuals should have access to financial freedom. We operate in the DeFi space because it aligns with our principles for lowering the barriers to entry to markets.

Quasar is a decentralized app chain enabling interchain digital asset management. While we are currently focused on fungible tokens for our platform, digital assets can be anything from fungible and non-fungible tokens to digital certificates, and authentication codes.

Management could be anything one would like to do with the asset such as save, crowdsource, exchange, stake, co-manage, crowdsource, crowdfund, etc.

Currently, we are focused on allowing Users to use customizable strategies using smart contracts to manage and deploy assets across multiple blockchains. To do this, Quasar offers a transparent, secure, and governable platform to build general-purpose asset management vehicles called vaults.

Tell us about yourself as CM/Project Lead

I am the Head of Marketing and Community at Quasar. My first encounter with the power of social media happened when I wrote a job-seeking tweet that went viral and launched my career in Talent Acquisition as a Technical Sourcing Specialist.

As someone who is people-driven, having the opportunity to help build a strong, fun, diverse, and educated community is a dream of mine.

Blockchain and crypto communities are all over the world bringing people together and making information accessible to anyone interested.

At Quasar, we're very much a multicultural team, and our goal is to bring ease to investing in the multi-chain ecosystem.

We feel we have an obligation to provide opportunities for community learning and we're committed to that.

Why do you like using  Zealy?

Zealy is a great platform that gamifies the experience of sharing information to help educate and develop the community.

Our community has grown significantly since we started incorporating the  Zealy Quests. We really appreciate the ability to share knowledge with our community through fun and enjoyable quizzes.

What’s your Quest strategy like - and your absolute favourite Quest?!

Since we are currently in the pre-mainnet launch phase, we focus on sharing our updates and using the  Zealy platform as a way to improve our understanding of what we do in DeFi.

There are a lot of bad actors in the space, so we use some of the Quests as a way to educate community members about common scams that happen in the industry, such as the fake sale of tokens, fake whitelists etc.

What Rewards do you currently offer your community?

At the moment, we are rewarding the community with XPs. As we approach our public testnet, we will introduce additional rewards such as special roles, NFTs etc.

Why is your community the best? 

A lot of our community members help each other, create fan art and memes, and translate the content we are translating into their native languages.

We are really proud of our diverse, supportive, and growing community.

What trends do you see in Web3? What are your predictions for what’s coming up next? 

Major brands are starting to have their presence in the Web3 space, and I believe this trend is accelerating.

User experience is improving, and so User adoption will continue.

Eventually, people won’t even realize they are using Web3 products and services.

What other Web3 projects are you also super excited about right now?

I don’t have any specific name in mind. We are most looking forward to the growth and evolution of the Cosmos ecosystem. The growth of other projects benefits all of us.
