Exploring the World of Web3 Gaming with Pedro, CEO of MetaStar Strikers

Today we have Pedro Cabaco, the CEO and co-founder of MetaStar Strikers and we'll get some of his insights into the world of Web3 gaming, the motivation behind MetaStar Strikers and the importance of engaging the community through Zealy, so let's start the interview!

Can you tell us a bit more about MetaStar Strikers and how it differs from traditional football games?

MetaStar Strikers is a Web3 football game focused on fun mechanics and fast-paced and action-packed gameplay. The game is 4v4 with online multiplayer, leagues, and tournaments.

The main difference is that we will have NFTs as the main players, stadiums, and clubs. This means that players will be able to own and trade their virtual assets -which adds a layer of ownership and decentralization to the game.

What motivated you to start this project, and what inspired you to focus on Web3?

We started this project because we see tremendous potential in the Web3 space, with ownership and decentralized components playing a key factor.

The gaming industry has always been a passion of ours, and we believe that the Web3 space offers unique opportunities to create new and innovative games that can change the way people play and engage with games.

Can you tell us a bit more about your role as the CEO and co-founder of the company?

As the CEO and co-founder, my role is to oversee the development of the game and the growth of the company.

I have over 14 years of experience in game development, having released my first game when I was just 12 years old. I have built over 20 games, with a total of over 5 million downloads across them.

This experience has helped shape this project by allowing me to bring my knowledge and expertise to the table and create a game that is fun, engaging, and innovative.

Can you tell us a bit more about Zealy and how it has helped you grow your project?

Zealy has been an essential tool for us in growing our socials and engaging our community in different ways.

It allows us to create Quests that incentivize our community to engage with our socials, create fan art, and share their experiences with the game. This helps us build a stronger community and grow our brand.

Can you tell us more about your Quest strategy, and what your absolute favourite Quest is?

Our Quest strategy is focusing on engaging our community and incentivizing them to engage with our socials and create content related to the game.

Our favourite Quest is the one where we ask our community to create fan art, as it allows us to see the creativity and passion that our community has for the game.

What rewards do you currently offer your community, and how do you decide what rewards to offer?

We currently offer our mint pass/free claim NFTs plus USDC. We decide what rewards to offer based on what we believe will be most valuable to our community and what will incentivize them to engage with the game.

What trends do you see in Web3, and what are your predictions for what's coming up next?

We see gaming as a key aspect in the mainstream adoption of Web3. We believe that in 2023, we will see high-quality games and worldwide recognized IPs come to Web3, which will help drive adoption and growth in the industry.

What other Web3 projects are you super excited about right now?

We are excited about Spinblade, The Harvest, and Crypto Unicorns.
