Exploring the Web3 World with CryptoChefs' Head of Community: Devin Wyrsch

Can you tell us more about CryptoChefs and what makes it unique?

CryptoChefs is a revolutionary gamified educational platform that is making it easy for newcomers to understand and navigate the world of decentralized finance.

Our platform offers a fun and unique trading game where players can learn from seasoned traders, known as Chefs, who create their own crypto strategies in the form of "Crypto Recipes".

Players can then compete against each other's recipes for daily, weekly, and monthly rewards, making it not only educational but also entertaining and rewarding.

Tell us about yourself as CM/Project Lead.

My professional Web3 journey started when I was a mod at EmpireToken. Later, I took over the social media and community manager roles.

I searched for a new project to work within the same timezone as I am (Switzerland) to be able to allocate more time to it. That is when I found CryptoChefs, where I am the Head of Community and Marketing Manager.

I am responsible for the mods, all giveaways, social media, and the marketing strategy.

I love working in Web3 because I truly believe it is the future. However, that is not the main reason for working in Web3.

The biggest reason is the way you work. It's much more "chill" in terms of what you need to get started. Especially here in Switzerland, it is pretty much impossible to work as a marketing manager without having a ton of experience and even a diploma from a university.

Why do you like using Zealy?

It is a godlike tool for community management. Before Zealy, I always had to animate the community to interact with our posts, vote, write in the chat, etc. Now I can create even more engaging opportunities and I can manage all through Zealy.

Another thing is giveaways via Zealy. For example, when we run a Twitter giveaway I don't have to manually review everything, I just create a Twitter Quest and that's all.

That is what I call a perfect tool! Thanks a lot for that!

What’s your Quest strategy like - and your absolute favourite Quest?

I honestly don't have a real strategy. I just try whatever comes to my mind, and if it works, I keep it. If it doesn't, I delete the Quest.

My favourite Quest is where the community can give feedback on the project. It gives me valuable insights and can help the whole team.

Why is your community the best?

I love my community because they are really open, and real friendships have developed because of it! The in-person meetings with them are always a highlight.

What trends do you see in Web3, and what are your predictions for what’s coming up next?

Crypto is getting really mainstream, also in traditional finance. The latest events in Davos reassured me that Web3 is here to stay.

I think there will be more and more regulations coming out, but I like that. They are the next step to make Web3 a standard to finance, media, and tech.

What other Web3 projects are you also super excited about right now?

Ily is excited about the whole SwissBorg Ecosystem. They are one of the best ways to get into crypto and offer something for everyone. Are you a gamer? XBorg is for you. Comic fan? Soonieverse is the way to go. Investing? Use the SwissBorg exchange. One of the best ecosystems I know!

Anything else you’d like to tell the world?

Stay safe out there! Crypto is dangerous! Educate yourself, don't invest more than you can afford to lose and diversify your portfolio, don't marry your favourite project as our BizDev says ;)
