Exploring Lava Network: A Decentralized Network of Top-Tier API Providers
Lava Network is a decentralized network and open-source protocol for reliable access to RPC data, across all chains.
Welcome to the Zealy blog! Today, we have a special treat for you as we sit down with Yuval to learn more about the Lava Network project.
We're excited to share a glimpse into the world of this cutting-edge project and the people who are making it happen. So, sit back, relax, and get ready to be inspired!
Tell us about your Project
Lava is a decentralized network of top-tier API providers that developers can subscribe to for access to any blockchain.
Providers are rewarded for their quality of service, ensuring that apps and users get the maximum speed, data integrity, and uptime.
RPC requests are routed to multiple endpoints simultaneously, allowing anyone to privately query or send transactions on-chain while being matched with the most performant and reliable providers.
We help developers build Web3 apps on any chain with reliable, performant, and decentralized node infrastructure.
Tell us about yourself as CM/Project Lead
My name is Yuval, and I've been doing marketing and community work for Lava since day one of the project. Before joining Lava, I studied Environmental Economics. During my studies, I became interested in blockchain technology and, specifically, the real-world use cases of smart contracts.
I then worked with artists on several NFT collections, providing everything from concept development and artistic guidance to marketing and community building. Unfortunately, these projects didn't launch due to personal reasons of the artists. After that, I joined Lava.
I enjoy working in Web3 because the atmosphere is a lot more dynamic than in a standard workplace. I have the opportunity to work with people from around the world, experience new cultures and work ethics, and generally meet and learn from smart and inspiring individuals.
Before my involvement in economics and web3, I was an active musician. That's why I'm attracted to doing creative marketing work for Lava, including setting up and coming up with ideas for our awesome Zealy Questboard!
Why do you like using Zealy?
Our community has been using Zealy very recently, and we've already seen great improvement on social and in our Discord community.
People are being exposed more to the content we put out, and are asking questions about it, diving deeper into our open-source code and coming up with ideas for improvements.
These discussions are a really important part for us, which was lacking prior to launching our Zealy.
As an open-source, soon-to-be public good infrastructure solution, genuine engagement and contributions are crucial for our success, and Zealy is certainly pushing us forward in that direction ❤️
That’s great to hear! Can you drive us around your Quest strategy and tell us about your absolute favourite Quest?
Our board is divided into a few sections:
Join the Lava Fam (❤️,🌋)
Graduate Lava Academy (🎓,🌋)
Lava Embassy (🤝,🌋)
Getting Started w/ Lava 🚀
And a whole section (to be launched) for our Developer Champions, who are the core contributing force in our community.
Another section we plan to launch this month is a 'Powered by Lava' board, where we'll collaborate with our partners who have Zealy boards, to help each other grow.
What Rewards do you currently offer your community?
Rewards will be announced soon. We are working on SWAG, NFTs, Early access to alpha products and features, and also giveaways.
Currently, we offer social amplifications for content creators and early access to alpha features.
Why is your community the best?
Our community IS THE BEST!! Our members are mostly node runners, who are very smart and curious people.
Our Discord is full of questions and discussions around tech and support, and we have a growing group of super-active members who are voluntarily helping others with their questions & issues.
A great example of that is our upcoming secret chess tournament 👀
What trends do you see in Web3? What are your predictions for what’s coming up next?
Web3 is going full power multi-chain.
Developers are no longer building exclusively on one chain, but are constantly evolving and experimenting with new technologies and possibilities on multiple blockchains.
You can see this very clearly with the move of many big actors like SushiSwap and Dydx to the Cosmos ecosystem (where we're building Lava).
Moreover, users don't want to, and shouldn't need to be aware of what chains they're on.
The future of dapps lies in the ability to move around the ecosystem without boundaries.
What other Web3 projects are you also super excited about right now?
Akash, ZkSync, Levana Protocol, LearnWeb3DAO, Evmos, Canto, and many many more!
Where else can people find your project on social and Zealy?
Thanks for having me! Here's our Twitter and our community on Zealy!
