Leading the Way in Web3 Infrastructure: An Interview with BlockHunters

Welcome to the Zealy blog! Today we are speaking with Mike, Community Manager at BlockHunters. So without further ado, let's dive in and learn more about the project, their community and some insights about their Quests strategy!

Good to have you here, Mike! Please tell us about your project

BlockHunters is a modern organization running quality nodes for chains in the blockchain ecosystem. Formed by a team of 10 holding different roles such as DevOps, blockchain engineers, PR strategists, communication managers, data analysts, and more, we all have a high interest in crypto and different backgrounds in it. Our main focus is to become long-term pillars of every community we are getting involved with. In terms of infrastructure and experience, we are running some in-house high-end spec barebone machines with dedicated monitoring and extra layers of security for everyone’s protection.

We operate nodes on several Cosmos networks and we are involved in different testnets. Our uptime average is a strong 99.8% and our support and power of action are fast. In addition to offering PoS, we also facilitate VC and marketing efforts for new projects or networks we’re already involved with, versatility being one of our main characteristics. To summarize, we love getting involved at every level possible to add value.

We aim to be a trusted provider to help projects maintain and secure their blockchains. This is why we pride ourselves on being 100% bare metal validators, running our infrastructure to validate the chains we are active on, and we are also proud to say we run IBC relayer nodes to help support the networks.

Tell us about yourself as CM

As a community manager for a validator team in the Cosmos ecosystem, my role is about building and maintaining relationships with other CMs from different projects and other validator teams. This includes creating and curating content, moderating conversations, and providing support and resources to community members.

I got involved in this field because I have a passion for building and fostering online communities, and I believe that the decentralized nature of Web3 technology has the potential to empower individuals and communities in new and exciting ways.

I love what I do because I get to be a part of building something meaningful and impactful with like-minded people. Web3 technology is still in its early stages and has a lot of potential for innovation and growth. Overall, I am passionate about the work I do.

I am excited about the opportunities the Web3 ecosystem presents for creating positive change in the world. I believe that decentralized technology has the power to democratize access to information, resources, and opportunities and I am excited to be a part of this movement.

Why do you like using Zealy?

I like Zealy because it is so simple to use (compared with other Web3 apps). This one, in particular, can bridge the Users to the Web3 projects in the best way possible.

What's your Quest strategy like - and your absolute favourite Quest?

I start with the basics as you did. Follow Twitter, join Discord/Telegram, and get a short brief of the project. My favourite Quests are ones where Users create something. The most recent one was a contest where people created gifts and/or emojis with our logo involved. It was pretty cool!

What Rewards do you currently offer your community?

We are offering special rewards for special Quests like objects with our logo on them, such as ledgers, etc.

What trends are you seeing in Web3?

We are seeing AI combined with Web2 socials as a trend in Web3.

What other Web3 projects are you also super excited about right now?

We are excited about projects such as Cosmos, Solana, and Polkadot, as well as new DeFi projects that are launching all the time.
