What you’ll learn:  By the end of this module, you'll be a pro at hosting both online and offline events! We'll teach you the best practices, including how to incorporate engaging storytelling, provide networking opportunities, offer giveaways, and analyze data and metrics to improve future events.

Getting Started

Tell a Story

First and foremost, it's important to tell a story and keep your audience engaged throughout the event. No matter if it's an online or offline event, people need to feel connected and interested.

To do this, make sure you have a clear and well-prepared agenda that includes an engaging topic. For example, you might want to give a company update, share a new feature or give insights about your project.

Remember that your community is looking for added value. They want to know what the project is about and who are the personalities behind it, or they might even want to learn something new.

This added value must be included in your storytelling and it needs to make sense.

Use a Reliable Platform

Choosing the right platform to host your event is crucial. While there are many options out there, it's important to use a reliable and user-friendly platform that can handle your specific needs. Consider testing out platforms like YouTube Live, Zoom, or Twitter Spaces to host your event.

Types of Events

New Member Nights

These events can be great for welcoming new members to your Web3 community and introducing them to its values, goals, and members. It can also be a chance for existing members to network and build relationships with each other.

Typically, these events are held online, but don't be afraid to consider an offline option if it's feasible. After all, bringing people together in person can create a special sense of community and connection

We suggest holding weekly or monthly onboarding sessions to ensure that new members feel involved in the community.

Investor Events

If your Web3 community is focused on blockchain or cryptocurrency projects, investor events can be a great way to connect with potential investors and showcase your projects.

These events can also provide a forum for discussing the latest trends and developments in the industry.

Monthly AMAs

Monthly AMAs can be an excellent way for your Web3 community to engage with leaders and experts in the field, learn about new projects and developments, and get answers to their questions.

Annual Catchup

Annual catchup events can be a great way to celebrate the achievements of your Web3 community over the past year, showcase your progress, and set goals for the future.

Webinars and Workshops

Online webinars and workshops can be a great way to provide educational content for your Web3 community.

These events can cover topics such as blockchain technology, cryptocurrency trading, smart contract development, Defi, and more.

Hackathons and Developer Conferences

If your Web3 community is focused on building new blockchain or cryptocurrency projects, hackathons and developer conferences can be a great way to bring together developers, designers, and other stakeholders to collaborate and create new solutions.

Social Events

In addition to professional events, it can also be important to provide opportunities for members of your Web3 community to socialize and build relationships with each other.

Social events such as happy hours, game nights, and other informal gatherings can help to build a sense of community and foster long-term engagement.

Increase Participation

Exciting events are the lifeblood of any thriving Web3 community, and promoting them is crucial for building buzz and getting people hyped up.

Here at Zealy, we get it! We know how important it is to reach the right people and create engagement that lasts. Here's a look at our strategy for increasing participation with your Questboard:

Boost attendance and engagement by offering rewards to your attendees

Create and automate incentives that are triggered when audience members join your event.  Give your audience an extra reason to join your event and make it a success!

Planet Zealy AMA Quest

Zealy Quests makes it easy to create fun and interactive activities that tie in with your event theme. For example, you could challenge attendees to complete a quiz, participate in a scavenger hunt, or introduce secret phrases announced during your event.

Increase retention in your live events with a special challenge during your live event

Create exclusive Quests sequences for your attendees

Level up your event experience with Quests that are available only to those who attend your event. Those can create a buzz and excitement around your event, and give attendees a unique way to engage with your content.

Maximize the Value of Your Event

Analyse data and metrics

After the event, it's important to analyze data and metrics to determine its success. Use data-driven insights to make decisions for future events.

Some questions to consider when analyzing your event data include:

  • How many people did you reach with your event promotions?
  • How many people showed interest in attending, and how many actually attended?
  • Were attendees actively participating in the event, or did they drop off early?
  • What feedback did attendees provide, and how can you incorporate it into future events?

If attendance is low, you may need to change up your format or promotion plan. But don't give up too early, sometimes it takes time for an audience to develop!

Follow-up is Key

Don't let your event end with a whimper. Follow up with your attendees to keep them engaged! A thoughtful email, social media post, or message on your community platform can help you maintain momentum and drive ongoing engagement.

We recommend creating a Feedback Quest to gather community thoughts and feedback after your event. This can help you understand what worked well and what could be improved for future events.

That's a wrap! Let us know how are you using your Zealy Questboard to boost your events.
