How to Start an Ambassador Program

Are you ready to build an ambassador program for your project but not sure how? Keep reading 👇 we’ve compiled some tips to remember while getting started!

Identify and Recruit Ambassadors

To build a killer ambassador program, you want to find people who are really into your project and what it stands for. Look for folks who have expertise in areas that are relevant to your project and who connect with your target audience.

Here are some tips for getting the right ambassadors:

  1. Develop a clear understanding of your project's values and goals, and look for ambassadors who share those values and goals.
  2. Consider the audience you are trying to reach, and look for ambassadors who have a strong connection with that audience.
  3. Look for ambassadors with expertise in relevant areas of your project, such as marketing, social media, or community building.
Don't be afraid to reach out to potential candidates and have a conversation to get to know them better before offering them a role as an ambassador.

Keep in mind the right ambassadors can be a powerful asset for your project, so it's worth taking the time to find the right fit.

Defining Objectives and Goals

Think about the goal of your ambassador program. Are you looking to get more people to know about your project, get more users, or just get more people involved in your socials? Defining what you want will help you create a program that fits your goals.

Here are some common goals you can achieve with your ambassador squad:

  • Increase brand awareness: Ambassadors can help spread the word about your project to their networks, increasing your brand's reach and visibility.
  • Drive user adoption: Ambassadors can encourage others to try your product or service, increasing the number of users and customers.
  • Build brand loyalty: Ambassadors can help create a loyal community around your brand, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among your audience.
  • Generate user-generated content: Ambassadors can create content about your project, such as blog posts or social media posts, which can help increase engagement and build trust with your audience.

To train your ambassadors, you can:

Creative Content Creation: This is the moment for ambassadors to shine! They can support your online presence with infographics, tweets, videos, and anything else your brand requires. This is an opportunity for ambassadors to showcase your project and their own creativity.

Oasis encourages community members to create original content and share it in their Quest category to promote the brand and engage with others.

Knowledge Quiz: We advise you to always motivate your community to learn. This provides community members with a fun and interactive way to engage with the project while also demonstrating their understanding of the product.

Rewarding and Incentivizing Ambassadors

Ambassadors are awesome, so make sure to reward them for their hard work! Incentives can be a great way to show your appreciation. Here are some popular rewards along with some creative ones towards the end!
